Faith and Hope School - How did Skye get involved?

Through a Scottish friend who used to live in Sleat, Rosemary first visited Skye in 2005, and the local connection began.

At that time, a group of local people began fundraising on an ad hoc basis but, in an attempt to make our support more effective and regular, we went on to make ourselves a properly constituted group and achieved charitable status in April 2010.

In the last three financial years we sent £13,580, £21,060 and £17,770. This helped to pay for 3 badly needed new buildings and contributed towards staffing and feeding costs.

This money was raised through local fundraising events plus one-off and regular, gift-aided donations, including sponsorship of individual children.

We call ourselves Friends of Hope and Faith School and our current committee members are:
